Painting the Balrog – Part 2
So I showed the leg to one of the shop assistants, he went and grabbed a leg from another box. Turned out it was set wrong when moulded at the factory. The leg I had was pushed up and twisted, so the thigh muscle had a lot more bulge to it. The was also a faint white mark where some streching had occured.
They were happy to replace the leg, and were fairly amazed by it, so it must be a fairly rare occourance.
So now the Balrog is looking a bit more assembled.
I’ve started thinking about painting, so I used the flames that would normally be on the base to try out the Iyandan Darksun Foundation Paint. The one on the left has a coat of skull white, on the right a coat of Iyandan.
Iyandan seems very muted, and I’m not sure if thats a good thing with the Balrog flames. My gut instinct is to just go with Skull White.
I’ve also painted the base, not too sure if I should glue some sand to give it a bit of texture.
