Fallout 3 coming October 31st

So I’ve pre-ordered my copy of Fallout 3, and decided to go for the collectors edition. Many collectors editions are fairly sparse on features, usually with a “Making of” DVD and a bonus multiplayer map. The fallout 3 edition has some pretty cool stuff.

Linux Server with Live TV

Recording live TV in the past used to be a hassle. Back in the days of dodgy tuner cards and bundled software, getting a tv show recorded correctly meant a lot of work. The “lot of work” aspect hasn’t changed, but the software and hardware is so much better that when your setup is correct, it runs really nicely.

Now in Wordpress

Webscaped is now using Wordpress to power the content. I’m fairly impressed by the features and how easy it was to port an existing site.

Most of the changes were to create a new wordpress theme. Which was a breeze. The template files are really well structured, much simpler then Drupal. (But then Drupal is a larger beast).

The permalinks also allows for a nice amount of customisation, so I can setup the links to be the same as the old site, no problems redirecting search engine traffic then.

Basic publishing workflow with Drupal 6

Indie Game – Armada Online

AO is a space based action game where players pilot starships against each other and aliens (Armada).
